This page explains how users provide their consent to receive Nona’s one-time SMS verification messages.
Users voluntarily enter their mobile phone number during the Nona registration process and click “Continue.” The screen informs users that a verification code will be sent by SMS. The following disclosure is shown:
“By clicking “Continue,” you agree to receive a one-time SMS verification code from Nona. Message and data rates may apply.”
After the user clicks “Continue,” a one-time verification code is automatically generated and sent by SMS to the mobile phone number provided by the user through Twilio’s SMS verification service.
The user enters the verification code received by SMS into the Nona app and clicks “Continue.” The verification code is automatically validated through Twilio’s SMS verification service. Once the code is successfully validated, the user can proceed to the next step of the Nona registration or login process.
No additional SMS message is sent at this step.
Nona does not send promotional, marketing, or recurring SMS messages. SMS messages are limited to one-time verification codes requested by the user.
